This beautiful crocheted purse (or clutch) pattern works up quickly and is a great project for the beginner crocheter who is ready to bump up their skills a notch.  Use 3mm recycled cotton rope to make a great 4-season purse or choose raffia yarn for a light summer bag or clutch.

Materials needed:

      • Adjustable cork strap or 9” of ½” cork strapping, key clip, and 2 chicago screws (information on where to purchase in the pattern).
      • Tapestry needle, scissors

 Techniques/stitches used:  Magic loop, chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet.

Level:  Advanced beginner

  • T-Shirt Yarn (1 roll Colour A, 1 roll Colour B)
    • Colours pictured are Seafoam and Light Grey
  • Crochet hooks:  Size 5-6mm for cast on, size 9-11mm for basket walls
